With the short and thick tube (yes we Artillerymen don't call it the barrel but the tube) , this appears to not be the 155mm M1 Gun (known as the Long Tom) but the 203mm M1 Howitzer, the pieces look nearly identical as they use the same trails and carriage but can easily be distinguished by the 203mm having a shorter chubbier tube. Also depending on the manufacturing date and when this specific piece was decommissioned this could be an M115, the only difference being that the piece was redesignated as such in 1962
