Well, Springtrap has officially arrived in Dead by Daylight, and seeing that gave me the motivation to finally draw something based off yet another FNAF related dream I had a while ago (been having a lot of those lately).
I've forgotten a chunk of details already, but I do remember this: I was inside a gigantic mansion that belonged to a certain William Afton. One half was meant for household living, while the other half was a full on Freddy Fazbear restaurant. I was dressed in a security guard uniform, so I assume I took a job as one for the place, for some ungodly reason. Of course, the mansion was not without its secrets, and its owner had devious plans for me.
Before long, I found myself running down a seemingly endless labyrinth of corridors, solving puzzles and finding secret passageways straight out of the old Harry Potter games (note: I am still giving the HP series the cold shoulder, but I'm at least allowing myself to look back at the first 3 PC games fondly), and at one point I was running and hiding from a crazy lady that eerily resembled Miss Delight from Poppy Playtime. Who was she and why did she look like Miss Delight? I don't want to know.
After an agonizingly long time, I came across the 'final boss' of this hellhole mansion: Afton himself, dressed in a purple suit and looking like a combination of Matthew Lillard and someone else (I have no clue). He congratulated me for making it this far, but it was all over now. Right then, I knew what was coming. Rather than stand there and watch the transformation, I turned around and bolted. I ran back through all the hallways, secret doors and corridors at the speed of light, daring not to look back. Despite this, a part of me knew running was useless. He was going to catch up to me in a matter of seconds once he finished turning...
I woke up before I saw Afton's 'were-rabbit' form, but I had a good feeling what he looked like via my subconscious. A little more like Into the Pit Spring Bonnie, with a body of living flesh and fur mixed with metal. He was a little less intelligent and more animalistic in personality, but no less cunning and bloodthirsty. For so long I've wanted to try and draw this take on Afton, and with the release of the DBD collaboration, it feels like now is the best time.
If the dream continued, it'd probably consist of this drawing: hiding from 'Weretrap' through different means, which includes various cabinets and wardrobes (almost DBD style, ha ha...). Maybe I'd escape, but not without the bastard taking a giant bite out of my arm with my luck (hey, could be a good origin for my self-insert 'Nightmare Springtrap' form, now that I think about it).
