Sometimes, the enemy's blood fuses well with a human host, elevating the recipient into a state of immense power and strength. Other times, it does not. In such cases, the blood rejects the potential soldier, resulting in severe consequences.
Although these individuals may still gain enhanced abilities and the capacity to wield enemy weaponry, their lifespans are often halved—or worse—and they suffer from various deformities.
As a result, they are sealed inside Cryocoffagi—freezing pods—and only thawed when it’s time for battle.
