The final night of my storm chasing trip, May 1 2025, was the most incredible and bizarre lightning storm I have ever seen.
From roughly 9:30 to 11:00 PM, the skies over Lampasas TX were strobing with lightning of every color imagineable. Many Many times a second, every color of the rainbow, as if the skies were a disco ball at a rave. We sat on the side of the road on a hill, jaws dropped in awe and bewilderment as the storm put on the most insane lightning I have ever seen.
This is a collage of over 50 images taken from multiple cameras during the peak of the storm's intensity and color. The colors were just as, if not more vibrant in person.
