The Crane chases after the Butterfly deeper into the cave, entering a chamber filled with glowing jewels. Desperate to rescue her companion and reaching the end of the pathway, the Crane leaps up and breaks off a large dark blue cave jewel to ride down the rapids. However, the two travelers are surprised at what awaits them outside.

I'm impressive with the large amounts of detail I put into the setting design for Panel 1. It took me roughly around 5-6 days to complete it with each cave wall, grounds, jewels, and the characters placed into it. I wanted the next portion of the cave to be designed more original than the previous designs of it with the cave entrance floor and the long pathway. Plus, I choose the large jewel the crane breaks off and rides to be colored dark blue because in traditional Japanese culture, dark blue is supposed to represent greater benevolence (Daijin).
