So having started doing P90X and Insanity (along with strict dietary intake) since the begining of April, I took only as much time until JUST before Anthrocon to see how far I could push myself. Yeeeeep. I'd say this shit works. :U
Granted, I dont have abs you could grate cheese with, but I also must admit that I LOATHE doing abwork on premise. I did it maybe once or twice a month, where my whimsy allowed. Yeah, kinda undisciplined, but I'm also learning that if you want the muscles to peek through, you actually do have to man up and work 'em. So I guess its time for me to put up, shut up, and get to it. And happilly, since AC, I've been doing just that. So hopefully by next year... Well, we'll see. :3
Also, I put up the two images on the right as a contrast/compare of what the difference is in muscular "fluffiness" after a workout, vs just lazin' around the house. By the end of 2.5 months of P90X, you do so many pushups you cant BUT have a line down the center of your chest, but it is indeed more noticable post-workout. :p
And try not to mind the bandaids. This is Tennessee in the middle of summer. The mosquitoes are not kind, and I work outdoors alot. Xp
FINAL NUMBERS:
-35-inch waistline down to a 30
-Dropped from 205lbs to 176, and still able to not only maintain but increase muscular strength considerably.
-Went from being unable to do a single pullup to doing 5 sets of 10-15 in a single 30-50 minute workout session.
Now that I'm done with this (cuz frankly I dont really need to be thinner than that. o.o), I'm switchin' it up to powerlifting for 4-5 months. I've missed serious weightlifting and this job and localle I'm in is perfect for allowing me time to indulge in it, once again. We'll see what happens in a few months. :D

Multivitamins of the whole rainbow of colors, and lean protein: meat, meat, and more meat. <3
Generally, I kept my calorie intake to below 1000 calories a day, but that takes awhile to get to. if you do that STRAIGHT from whatever diet you're doing now, your body will reject it, freak out, and no matter how much weight you lose you'll still gain most of it back when you start slacking off the lower-calorie diet. Possibly, even gaining more weight than where you started. So you have to ease into it slowly so your body thinks its a natural process. Small tweaks, at first. 2-3 weeks of modifying your diet bit by bit, and your body gets used to it. :3

Oh, also: NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST. After that, spread your eating out to 5-6 snacks over the day eating every 3 or so hours. Never eat carbs or sugars right before bed, ever.

Yays! I'm down in Orlando Florida now! Actually getting a bit of a tan, running around in short-shorts and hanging out by the pool in a speedo....heh my self confidence has gone way up! My roomates went all O.O when I showed them this pic, you're the only person that did the P90x and kept with it. They both go to the gym a few times a week and are going to bring me along (I've never been to a real gym before). I just want to tone up a bit. You look amazing! Drool worthy!
NEWP, you are ON THE BALL! =D You see, P90X was originally designed as a field engineering training DVD for cellphone technicians that HAPPENED to have an added-on exercise regimen to gettem off their asses every once in awhile.
That Droid? Totally built it from Diet Mtn. Dew cans. By hand. :U
The muscles were jsut a side benefit. :D

Nah, havent yet. Frankly, I feel like a tool wearing any shirt that advertises anything else.... but Insanity IS a worthy program to preach about, I will definitely say that much!
Cocked, locked, and ready to rock!... I'ma totally use that phrase, next I get the chance. <3
*brofist* :D

Well, Its more like I gained muscle under the fat for the first month. The lighting aint that great in the first shot, but thats a 3-months-long stint of next to no exercise at a robust 205 lbs of road-living eating. By the second one I was closer to 190, despite my waistline not looking much smaller, but those muscles poppin' pretty well. :3
Its a really good program, and I'd actually reccomend it moreso over Insanity: you can tailor it to BUILD muscle, rather than just toning you up and leaning you out, though if you wanted to do exclusively fat-burning, you can do that, too. Insanity is much less flexible, being almost entirely cardio workouts; It will rip your ass DOWN, but its built for only leaning you out. You will not gain muscle from the exercises you do, only endurance and a small amount of strength.
I cannot for the life of me figure out which progression I find most impressive, the muscle, the beard, or the comment thread growing down here. It's a tough race.
Looking good, just started the p90x not too long ago and already I'm developing some severe shoulders and pecs.

Never ever ever EVER drink regular sodas. Ever.
Second, never ever EVER miss breakfast.
Always eat 5-6 snacks throughout the day, keeping it high protein, low cal, low carb, no sugars.
Start trying to lower your caloric intake with specific foods you eat. Get between 1000-1500 calories a day, and you're off to a good start.
Other than that, take a walk 3-4 times a week for at least 30 minutes.

I'unno about Wii Fit at all, so I dont know how effective it is. The pad looks like it would only work your calves, balance, and a TINY bit of your quads, so... I'd say stick with the walking; working the whole stride of your pace will burn more calories and use more muscles. If you can, upgrade it to running after you get some decent running shoes. If you WANT, supplement walking/running with the Wii, but dont use it to replace either.
He and I talked Sunday night at AC for a bit, just shootin' the shit and havin' fun. It was really nice to know that the guy behind the pecs and the prosthetics/makeup is actually really fun and one helluva charmer. ^_^
Needless to say, he's a damn good role model to take after as far as weightlifting goes, isnt he? :D

Next time you have a sexy party like the summer of 08, maybe I can doll up with you and we can put on a live show of Chelsea Dagger or something. ~_^ I still remember that corset/skirt number you wore that weekend, and WOOF! Hot stuff! hell, you pretty much inspired ME to get my own corsets, after that summer! =D
Glad you approve, hun! Hope you're doin' well, kickin' ass, and havin' fun. :D

When I told you off months ago on AIM, it DIDNT mean that I wanted you to continute talking to me in other fashions. Your sense of humor - if you were indeed trying to be funny at all - is still pretty atrociously failtastic.
Go be fat, ugly, emo, and stupid elsewhere. I dont bother you, so go fuck right the hell off and do me the courtesy in kind of NOT bothering me, again. Ever.
Are we CRYSTALINE clear?
