From a young age, Cyrus van Astreus displayed an unusual affinity for the celestial bodies that adorned the night sky. He would spend countless nights gazing up at the stars, feeling a deep connection to their cosmic dance. Over the years he'd study countless planets, constellations, and individual stars, and eventually he would find his way into Solamira, a grand university where the power of stars could be contained. After attempting to interact (unsupervised) with Solis Potentia, The Grand Star, he found an otherworldly being who proceeded to offer him powers that could turn him into a powerful wizard. Naïve and young, Cyrus accepted the deal and the entity empowered him with the power of the Weave. This power came at a cost, however - the magic caused his body to start to shimmer and flicker, his skin burning as his body started to turn to dust. The next thing he knew, he was in Arkvania - alone, save for his trusty cloak and staff. Heading off into the unknown, Cyrus had one thought in mind - to be able to control the powers granted by the entity, and if possible, to seek vengeance on them in whatever way possible.
