One of the original reference sheets for the common Falgrove critters Astrocat made some years ago.
This reference sheet is a quick look at Bookweasels, covering all the basics of the species.
The Bookweasel species can be found largely in the Library within Falgroves castle. If the various tinkering that created many of the other magical creatures of Falgrove were experiments, it's possible Bookweasels were the intended result, or at least a later test. Able to store information in their pelt, able to syphon magic out of enchantments, and use spellcraft they store on their pages, they are a potent creature who seem fascinated with the collection of whatever information that particular Bookweasel is curious in.
It's thought that Bookweasels are fully sapient creatures, though they do not seem to make any vocal noises to confirm this. They do however seem to greatly enjoy eating the enchantments on Cookiemice, turning them back into regular cookies.

They are a little more resistant to it, but nothing too special. Depending on what the spell does though, the latent enchantments might have their energy... emerge.. during the process. Plus there's always the risk of the bookweasel casting a counterspell!
An anthro Bookweasel might make for a curious sight!

Oh. My. GOD I HAD AN IDEA. Someone selectively breeding Cookiemice, taste testing them and writing down their recipes in a book, keeping a Bookweasel around to record their ideas AND to occasionally dispel the unfortunate side effect of cookiefication. The bookweasel is super interested in cooking, and gets the occasional dessert of the full collection of cookiemouse corruption
The more I think about it, the further this idea goes. Disenchanted cookiemice would lead to Moxes showing up, he'd buy a Lesser Splyap to keep the population of Mox down...also he may or may not have discovered the secret to immortality because every time his body is de-cookified, it resets the age of his body and he has no idea xD
