Dr. Eggman has done it. Thanks to his latest creation, Sonic is now powerless to stop him. Yet, despite the victory, he still has some loose ends to tie up. Sonic has many friends with him and if they found out what happened to Sonic, they will come after him. They need to be removed from the equation. And the good doctor knew what his next target will be.
That conniving fox, Tails.
He's pretty much the brains of the team and he would find a way in bringing Sonic back from the speedster that he is. He must be taken care of. Using his controls, he was able to lock onto the fox and fired his ray at him. What he doesn't know is that his ray has a side effect once it hits its targets. And like what happened to Sonic, the same fate will happen to Tails.
Back at Green Hills, Tails was flying over the area, returning to his lab to help wok on the latest project. He was able to make some research based on the wind speed and hoping that information would help him improve on his Tornado. But of course, he didn't realize that the beam that attacked Sonic happened to him as well.
As he was flying the beam hits him and he was shocked on contact. He didn't know what it was, but looking back, he noticed his two tails were shriveling away and his body was loosing its fox like appearance. Seeing his tails getting smaller, he was loosing altitude as he was falling to the ground. Tails panicked as his fur was reverting and he was gaining some human characteristics. Soon enough, he landed into the bushes and rolled around for a bit as the shrinking tails were sucking up his skin and his nearly lost his fox appearance with his ears getting human and his snout pushed in and became a boyish face.
Getting up on one knee, Tails looked to himself and was shocked to see that he was no longer a fox, but was human with the only thing closely related to him was his orange hair with three spikes in the front. Dressed in a white tank top, pants, and plain shoes, he was appalled at what occurred. Strangely enough, he only have one of his original glove while the other hand was bare. Looking on, he wondered why's that.
But then, he got his answer as the finger ends stretched underneath his human hand and was starting to to bloat on the main glove and gaining a metallic sheen. Tails starred on and was wondering why's that. Course, he didn't know is that his body was growing and his not pants was gaining a light orange tinge. Or the face this his hair was re-arranging as a small pony tail grew out the back and slightly darkened.
Starring on, Tails could see his glove was growing, shifting, and shaping into what appeared to be some sort of weapon with pincers on the side and the two fingers merging and forming some sort of nozzle. He could see the former glove sliding off his hand and he was able to grab it with the handle and trigger his human hand could carry. He was shocked at his glove become a strange weapon was too focused on it, he didn't know that not only his body is growing, but it was swapping into the opposite gender. Not to mention his attire and changing as his shoes were growing and extending on his feet and black springs started to appear on the top back ends and extending downwards.
It was then that he felt a tingling feeling on his chest and looked down to see the horrors of a pair of breasts growing out of his tank top, which had a strange company name and logo popping up on the front end. Looking at him/herself, Tails witnessed that her body was continuing to change as she was not only human, but also female as well. Not only that, but her attire was looking like something out of a test subject as her pants were getting more orange as orange cloth appeared and wrapped around her waist. She also noticed that her feet was gaining some futuristic boots with curved springs on the end to break some fall. Her face was rearranging into female features as her hair darkened and restyled into a messy ponytail
Gripping her now futuristic weapon, she tries to scream for help, but couldn't produce it. Placing her hand on her throat, Tails start to realize her vocal cords have been shattered and she can't even mutter a sound. As the changes wind down, Tails was no longer Tails, rather a female test subject dressed in an orange jumpsuit with the orange jacket wrapped around the waistline of her orange pants, a white tank top with the title of Aperture Laboratories with a logo on the side, impact boots strapped on her feet, and her dark and messy hair done up in a pony tail.
When the changes were finished, Tails looked down to herself and was confused at what she becomes. Trying to figure things out, she knew that the beam did this to her. But why she became a girl, let alone one that looked like she needs to...test...?
Looking down to see she was still holding the strange futuristic weapon on her hand, she was trying to figure out what it can do. Pointing to the checked cliff side, she pulled the trigger and fired it as an orange hole appeared on the wall. Tails looked on and could tell that it wasn't any rifle? Yet what is it. Seeing another tripper, she targeted the wall next to the hole and fired a blue beam. That's when an orange and blue holes appeared and she saw something quite baffling. She saw herself in one of the holes and as she moved her arms as the other self mimicked it. Seeing that, she approached the holes and was curious what they are. Slowly, she peaked her head into the hole and was surprised that her top half on one side while her bottom half was on the other. Pulling back, Tails concluded that they appeared to be portals of some kind and the gun she was carrying can produce them.
So she stepped into the hole to appear on the other side and was amazed by this. Tails soon started to test the gun out and formed an orange hole on the floor and ran up the blue hole, only to pop up on the floor. Forming the blue hole on ceiling part of the loop, she jumped into the orange portal and fall off the blue portal. While the height would killed her, she landed on her boots as Tails deducted the the boots are used to break any fall, no matter how high up she would be. With a smile, Tails started to use her gun and formed holes around Green Hills and ran, jumped, and fall through them, forgetting that the beam was the one that caused it. However, as she was having fun and ran up a portal only to fall from the one she created on the ceiling, she actually fell on top of another girl that was zipping down the the grassy path and each one was on top of each other.
"Ow! Bloody Hell! What dropped on me?" someone said with a British female voice.
Tails heard that and looked down to see what appeared to be a young British woman decked in some sort of pilot uniform with orange leggings and a device of some kind that's glowing blue. The woman looked to Tails and was surprised to see a woman falling on top of her.
"Uh... 'ello?"
Quickly, Tails got herself up as the woman kiped up and dusted herself up. "Sorry about that. Guess I wasn't paying attention. Did you fall on top of me?" she asked.
Tails tried to say something, but realized that she can't speak as her mouth opened, but no words came out.
The British woman looked to her and was confused. "What's wrong? Cat got you tounge?"
Tails shook her head and tried to explain to her that she couldn't speak by rubbing her throat.
The woman looked on and gave a sigh. "Whatever... Look, I would love to play sharades and all, but I'm in a bit of a hurry. See, a beam hit me and I became this. I need to find my friend and see if he to fix this."
Tails raised an eyebrow and was confused at what she meant. Gesturing that she doesn't know what she's talking about, the British woman decided to explain herself.
"Right, here's the situation. I was normal hedgehog, minding my own business, doing my running routine, when the beam hits me and I lost my speed. Yet for some reason, I became a human girl and gained a new way for speed. I mean, check this out." she said. She soon zipped on one end before blinking back to Tails. "See? I can still speed around, but only in quick zips. Now I need to find my friend and I hope that he can reverse this."
Hearing that, she realized that she said she was a hedgehog. Putting the pieces together, she needed to find a way to respond and found a stick. Picking it up with her free hand, she starts to write a name on the ground. The British woman looked down and saw a familiar name....
'Sonic?!'
Yes, the British woman is Sonic the Hedgehog. Well...he was a hedgehog, before the beam hit him and became a human girl with a different way gain some speed. With a smirk, she said, "Yes! I am Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog! Well, former hedgehog! And I am looking for my friend, Tails. Have you seen him? He is a small orange fox with two tails and a gift when it comes to inventions. You know him?"
Knowing who she is and what she became, she tries to explain to her in gestures, but wasn't much to help out. So she started to use the stick to trace the picture of herself as the fox she once was and drew and arrow over it point to her. Sonic looked at the drawing and saw what she drew. Looking up with shocked eyes, she said, "Wait a bloody minute. You're tails!"
Tails nodded and placed a hand on herself, letting Sonic knows she's tails. Sonic was shocked as she wasn't the only one that was affected by the beam as she rubbed the back of her head and muttered to herself...
"Bugger..."
