(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
$17 colored art commission for Starforge http://www.furaffinity.net/user/starforge/ (should have charged for the background, but that is my fault, and I like more completed images anyway). This image follows a little after the last one http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6067709 where Mark finds himself in a supersized Pokemorph world. Currently Mark is relaxing on the keyboard back in the shadow Lugia, Kira's home when her bouncy Articuno friend, Christie, invites herself over. She loves the sight of Kira's new "toy" and leans in for a closer look.
Avians are probably one of those hit or miss things when it comes to beaks and expressions. Yes, I know beaks can't pull back and do really anything, but for the purpose of this image I broke the rules of basic biology and went with it. I'm pleased with the image, but not as much as the first, mostly because I couldn't really do much in regards to texturing the feathery female as much as I could with the much more shiny Lugia (silver feathers, at least by normal standards.) Otherwise love the absolutely blonde expression going on and poor Mark looking as if he's ready to skitter across the keyboard in a panic.
(And to remark, Articunos look a lot like pigeons, especially since I found ones that do come in fluffy and blue.)
Photoshop CS4.

Who cares about breaking the rules of biology?
Nicely done commission and great job on the perspective!
I'm fairly certain if I was in his position, I'd just sit there waiting for something to happen.
