The group of extraterrestrials had been crashing at Steve’s place for a couple weeks now, he didn’t really know exactly what they were here for, but they were acceptable enough company to have, though they were in human disguises they did still have some ways to go before they blend it in seamlessly
Steve was being reminded of that once again as his brain tried to take in what he was just inquired
“ what was that?”, he says finally after his brain. Is incapable of processing the words that just came out out of Michael’s mouth.
“ I asked if you were sad because your grandmother wasn’t prepared good for the funeral feast”, the disguised alien repeats himself, he hands the human man another tissue which he uses to wipe up other remaining resident of tears. He was crying.
“ Mike, humans don’t do that”, he pauses for a moment before continuing,” well maybe some groups do but as a whole it’s not done”
“ oh, sorry, I shouldn’t have assumed, it’s just you humans are just so much like the primate people back on my planet”, Michael says embarrassment, causing a blush to come across his cheeks, Steve sure if he had his tail out it would be between his legs
“ it’s all right, you’re still new here”, Steve consoles padding the other man on the back eliciting a happy purr
“ you are very nice man human Steve”
“ thanks, and I told you it’s just Steve”
“ I know, but I much prefer calling you that”, Michael giggles at the exasperated sigh. The human man lets out as he returns to eating his dinner
