While someone expresses his thoughts directly and approaches the situation rationally, someone else has to hide forever, dressing up, hiding behind masks and sometimes shouting defiant slogans for Richard while running off into the woods. That's how we finally met at that very Tournament. For some people, life is like the Tournament, isn't it, Robin? For me, the Tournament is a moment of truth.

Just imagine the situation. You are communicating with a new friend whom you trust and value his/her company. He is rational and always there to support you. Suddenly a man you haven't seen for 10 years since childhood appears before you in a Stork masquerade to “win you over”. Interesting situation, isn't it? Marian knew he was coming. She feared for it, for it would endanger not only him, but her as well. After all, if she interceded for him, she would immediately put herself at risk from the crown.
Even Disney makes it look manic. They had to come up with a “mad love” to the poster for Marian to justify her reaction. You know... Screw Disney. This place never changes....
