Uh oh, hide your shoes! The Sockies are coming! Sockies are critters that were once lost socks. They become living creatures due to the magic of the Monsteria. They scurry around the play place stealing shoes to hide them. Thankfully they're pretty easy to find since the Sockies leave clues for the kids like a scavenger hunt. And they leave candies in their shoe when it's found.


That's the fun lore for the Mosnteria in reality they're creations of Miss Mabel. She made them for funsies one day when she saw all the socks kids left behind. So the lore about Sockies being made out of the socks kids leave behind is true but the "magic" that helped them become sentient was with the yarn from the storyteller's hair. They don't really have separate names. They're collectively called Sockies and work more like a hive mind.
