Brother fought brother; with tooth and claw and rock and flame. The Stag’s broken crown lay shattered upon the earth as they clashed, a grizzly memorial to a sin beyond forgiveness. With a great roar heard across the Valley the great mountain was sundered and the earth opened. Sweeping chasms split the ground, swallowing villages whole as flame erupted from the mountain. Ash and filth spilled out from the broken peak, blotting out the sky as molten fire poured down the mountainside. Nothing could withstand the torrent of molten death, all in its path turned to cinder then ceased to be entirely. Endless fire spread forth from the creeping river of flame, the only light in a world devoid of sunlight, consuming timber and stone alike. And still brothers fought as the world burnt and crumbled around them.
Their apocalyptic struggle finally came to an end; the Wolf crushed beneath the mighty paws of the Bear, even as the Bear succumbed to the innumerable wounds suffered at the jaws of the Wolf. The body of the Wolf tumbled down the bottomless chasm, and the Bear was claimed by the inexorable tide of fire. Only then did the earth settle and the mountain’s fire was quenched, the cataclysm abated, but at desperate cost. The mountain was no longer aglow with fire, but there was no end to the soot that spewed from it’s peak. And so the poor wretched souls who survived the battle of fire and earth were suffocated by ash. Tragic few were left; entire villages had been lost beneath the earth or blankets of ash, those unfortunate survivors fleeing beyond the mountains never to return to the Valley again.
The sisters of the sky and ocean let out a mournful cry; bereaved by the death of the brothers and by the fate of the Valley. Cracks of thunder sounded throughout the Valley as a great storm churned out over the sea, quickly swept inland by a swift and true landward breeze. Driving gusts of wind dissipated the clouds of ash and a torrential rain that fell for days finally doused the raging fires and silenced the great mountain for good. The rumbling thunder quieted and the rain relented as the skies cleared; the luminous Eagle following the last of the storm back out to sea. The Coyote turned her head towards the sky to witness the final act of mercy of her sisters. Her brothers lay slain to the last, and she would never see her sisters again, but the miraculous rainbow that filled the sky was a sign that at least there would be a chance for a new beginning. The Valley would endure. Life would endure.

After a long and heartbreaking battle between 2 brothers that led to the destruction of several villages, the time had finally come to hope again. For those who had survived, little by little returning to their lands, the miraculous rainbow that appeared in the sky reassured them that a new beginning was possible. The Valley would be reborn, and even our beloved Fae watching the rain turn out all those fires began to picture in her mind a peaceful life in the Valley, without other apocalyptic wars and deaths. 🔥🌧️🌈🌱✨

I'm so glad you agree sweetie, in fact the colors in those clouds were the first fascinating detail to catch my full attention, and soon after they moved to the beautiful Fiadh hehe 😙🧡 Both the clouds and your sparkling girl came out so vibrant and magical looking. ✨
