Sharing a wonderful new dragon designed by the amazing VellaSimon!
Came across this stellar character design by VellaSimon and I couldn't resist. Everything about this dragon aligned well with a character I had percolating in my mind; from the colour palette to the sturdy scales and flair of fur, this character looks tough yet majestic - there's an air of nobility and wisdom about him, as well.
Named Imbris, Latin for "of rain" or "of storms", I imagine him as a Storm Dragon. VellaSimon had him named Atlas, and I almost kept that name... I rather liked it, but already had another name picked out for this character. Imbris, as a character concept, has been brewing in my mind for a bit and it's great to finally have a form for him. He's quite an ancient dragon; it's rumored that he may be immortal but no one knows for sure - even Imbris himself. He's seen the rise and fall of many civilizations, and possesses knowledge and wisdom acquired over many eons of existence. He is rather reclusive, and prefers solitude - but a few have befriended him over the years.
