Keep noticing that Angel in this version didn't do anything overtly malicious, rather than just letting the power go to her head a bit, until Michael provoked her through repeated dead-naming and disregarding Mom or Angel's feelings about Mom's situation because he was uncomfortable with it. He might still have gotten ka-girled either way, but there's reason to believe he would at least have gotten off lighter.
That said, we still don't know what exactly's going on with that teddy bear in this version, so maybe she did do something worse off-screen.

... Also also, all that said, we kind of have to wonder how Old!Angel and New!Angel would react to each other. We're still early yet in the new one, and her most pointlessly cruel or selfish actions are still far in the future, but she'd still done worse by this point in the original than she has yet. (The original version of Michael's first transformation was much less deserved and was vengeance for something he clearly had no memory had ever happened)
