TRANSCRIPT

I got a bit more than a little rest. It was mid morning when I arrived, but it was late afternoon when I woke up. My head was throbbing, and my legs were aching, but I was getting restless.

Slowly I got up, making sure my body was able to handle my weight as I did. A bit wobbly at my first steps, but I was able to move.

I left Lily's room and into the living area. Jared and Lily were still there, preparing some food. It was dinner time soon after all. I looked over at my gear, tucked neatly away, but I saw that my backpack was open. A faint green glow eminating within, and my book, open on the counter.

They both looked at me. No words needed to be said. They read my book. They knew everything that happened. Lily gave me another hug, then offered me a seat at her table, already prepared for 3.

We spoke about my journey during dinner. They read my book yes, but it could only tell so much. We spoke about everything. The Nest, the Foundry, my involvement with the Quincy gang, 40, X0-C3, and even this mission by Cpt. Haines that I was undecided on impersonating 40 for.

It was a lot to take in, even for me. Having someone normal outside of all this mess to talk to helped put into perspective just how crazy everything has gotten. And just how scared I am.

I wasn't quite sure what to do. I wanted to stay, but then that would mean X0-C3 would be free to hunt our siblings, and even us. I can't stop her on my own, but there is one person that might help. That rogue STEEL soldier in Paradise. He knows about us, about the Wielder Project, and about other rouge wielders. All together, they could help get rid of X0-C3. And maybe then I can truly be free.

But to be free, I will need to fight for it.

I think its decided what I need to do.
