I double lined it, I have another fleece bag that I used as my school backpack for a while that I double lined with fleece and it doesn't stretch at all.
If it was a different fabric, I would definitely do a different liner (such as the other Toothless bag), but these bags aren't meant to hold much in the first place-- they put a LOT of strain on your shoulders if you put too much stuff inside.
