An art trade with
torchgirl18. She's got such a lovely character! ...and if you ask me, the otter girl's pretty dang brave. I finished drawing, looked at the finished piece, and thought, "I would never get that close to starfish that big." @w@
I wanted to go for something you might see in a 2D animated movie, so originally this was going to be a single-layer shade, but I sort of got carried away when torchgirl told me that she liked gradient shading. I do hope the idea's been kept with the background though. =)
I tried a lot of new things, including not only using black for the outline colors. Making all the colors less saturated than my past art was the hardest part. AND I AM SO PROUD OF THE WATER. <3
