That's probably just the artillery battle going on upstairs. Or maybe it freed something Not So Good. Who the heck knows exactly what he was growing in his Re-Animator vats besides broken Miyos.
The line is from the Stephen King short story The Jaunt. It's about a teleporter that's harmless if you go through asleep... but if you try to go through awake, it becomes an Infinity Trap. And what it spits out doesn't usually live very long.
After you read that, you get a whole lot more appreciation for how evil what was done to Roko-san was.

While I can’t claim to be an expert in reading balloon expressions, Roko looks terrified.
Given that Roko was talking full sentences just before Saida broke the loop, Roko’s probably speaking Fox while his “mind” is still buffering, after having been worn down by Suzocon’s loop.
Basically, it looks like Roko has “regressed” as an after effect from the experience, hopefully temporarily.

They're either going to have to find their way out or fight their way through some abomination while there's a howitzer fight at point blank range going on upstairs. I eagerly await the next panel too. I never thought that a villain fight could be quite this entertaining, and that the protagonists' only option is to flee for their lives is pretty good storywriting. They aren't saving anything here except themselves. (And maybe a charged Eyestone, so it isn't QUITE a shaggy fox arc).

Roko translation: Longer than you think, Saida! Longer than you think!
Also, um... there's still an artillery battle going on topside and Saida's big brother is going for the knockout. It's well, well past time to evacuate the battlefield. Do damage assessment on Roko later. Survival now!
There's just this little problem that Brand is down right in no-man's land...

Very true, and given his earlier behavior there’s no telling what he was going through, whether having nightmares/flashbacks, believing that he deserves this for what he did, or desperately begging for his friend to come and save him and begging them for forgiveness
There's been a strong temptation to apply real world logic to something that has no real world equivalent.
I keep thinking "well, a space of infinite reflections that pull you in a direction would feel the same as falling forever. Eventually you'd get over the initial panic. Roko would basically be unharmed." There's very little reason for me to just assume that it works like that.
Either way Roko couldn't of been in there longer then an hour so he'll probably get over it.
