"C is for crown? But that's a tiara, not a crown!"
"Yes, dear, I know, but I didn't make the book."
This picture is a memorium to a fellow writer of mine, Michael Bard, who passed away last year. The unicorn, Yvarra, is his character, and he didn't quite get to finish out her story before passing away. So... I'm going off his notes here and giving her a 'happy ever after'. Yvarra can't read, and I have a character in the same setting who could teach her, so that's what's going on here. He's an older lion and a tutor by trade, she is a former treasure hunter (hence the Indiana Jones fedora and bullwhip hanging on the wall) who is settling down now after saving the world one last time.

Yes, there are times when I miss him too Hallan even though he could be a frustrating person to work with. God some of his critiques made me want to give up writing... for a couple weeks. All the same he was a good person and I looked forwards to his rather strange sense of humour on IRC every so often.
