When Drifter found Danny exploring his house that should have been hidden he decided to confront the lizard, however from here Drifter discovered that Danny could use magic and was already thinking about getting a student, Danny finding out that he could use magic begain trying to beg the Drifter, as Danny beged Drifter having already decided set to work on calming the lizard, Sneakeasy not knowing the laces of his sneakers were currently getting controled by drifters shoes, as the mettle tips melted to let him carve a bind and protect Rune into the sides the metal started speeded down the laces black nylon turning into hard Silver though Danny is not aware of what is happening to his sneakers just hoping he can convince Drifter not knowing the deal getting drawn into his trusty sneakers or that when he put them on that day it would be the last time for a while he would see his feet.
