Many Roterons have great pride in their fishing traditions, with plenty of fishing spots all around their archipelago planet. Rich or poor, part of the nobility or not, it's valued broadly in Roteron society. Tiayneq and Aqiyana are no different. Almost every time Tiayneq is on shore leave on his planet, he tries to take his family to the shore to do some traditional bare hand fishing, like their people have done for the past four thousand years. It's one of the few occassions both he and his family leave their jewelry at home, and dress most simply. It is great fun for the whole family, even though their kids, Mileyak and Gyela, have their own ... unorthodox methods... Perhaps one day they'll understand the value of this tradition, their parents hope...
