I got somethin' to say!
2002 - Junior year of high school. Just discovered VCL and the furry fandom. Parents got divorced, I think.
2003 - Senior year of high school and a very prolific time, indeed. Aside from making pieces for my AP portfolio, I was heavily into the Saturday morning cartoon, Ultimate Muscle. Passable human figure skills cropped up as a result. College helped, too. Also began PoL as a webcomic around this time.
2004 - Still more UM stuff. No-lines digital painting prevailed in me for about a two-month period, then a brief return to traditional media upon acquiring an artist's table that Christmas.
2005- Discovered One Piece and fell in love with its remarkably well designed sea-creature anthros, called the Mermen in the English version. After a rigorous figure drawing program, overall skills are strengthened and elaborate backgrounds begin to appear. Graduated from DCAD with an AFA with Honors in Illustration.
2006 - Commissions start to pick up. Broke up with my best friend of five years. Deeply depressed, I left home to attend RSAD. Saw a skyline without trees or buildings for the first time. Re-discovered FurAffinity.
2007 - Confidence in art wavers a bit. Commissions riding stronger than ever, helping to build a path to character design and professionalism. The pieces chosen are my favorites thus far. I think this year, I discovered what I was capable of as a primarily digital artist and also gained a little direction as to what I want to do with it.
We'll see what happens when '08 comes around.
