The upload preview is rotated 90 degrees for some reason. Hopefully it won't be on the real thing...
It seems it is. I swear it's normal on my hard drive. Sigh... I'll look into fixing this later.
Okay, I have NO IDEA wtf is going on. This picture has a LONG history of being weird, and I guess this is the culmination of all of it.
I got this as a gift from Cathy, but when I saved it to my hard drive, the thumbnail got distorted. For some reason it was rotated and stretched into unrecognizability. We looked like we'd been through a taffy puller. Nothing I could do would fix the thumbnail. Renaming it, moving or copying it to another folder, modifying the pic itself, nothing. But the pic itself loaded correctly, so no big deal, right?
Well, eventually seeing that thumbnail annoyed me enough that I asked Cathy for a new copy of the pic. This one came with a good thumbnail, so hooray! And the pic itself still loads correctly, so double hooray! Problem solved!
Now this. I upload the pic to FA, and the thumbnail is inexplicably rotated. It's not stretched, at least, but what the hell? Okay, fine. I rotate it the opposite way on my HD, then re-upload it, and it's... still rotated? What? Okay, maybe it's just not updating the source file. So I tried starting a new submission, with the file rotated so the bottom is on the right side. And this new submission comes up rotated so the bottom is on the left, like it is here.
Seriously, WHAT. THE. FUCK??
I give up. If anyone knows what's going on here, and how to fix it... let me know. Please. This is going to bug me something awful.
