Yah, the hoof itself seems to be going in the opposite direction of where the leg bends at the hock. ^^;

My thinking is she's hovering, but she could also be suspended mid air by invisible wires :3

This looks nice (Bat/Unicorn hybrid, very interesting), but the one thing that bugs the hell out of me is the fur around the wrists and hooves. If the fur wasn't around her hooves and wrists, but coming from the back of her legs/forearms (ie. The Last Unicorn), I think that it would look much nicer.

To me it looks like you just didn't want to draw hands, so you covered them up, heh.

In this case though, the character is known to have furry things around the hands and hooves like that, I'm not sure whether they're a part of her outfit or if she actually has fur like that but yeah :3

Hands get to everyone to some degree. Do what I do when you get in a stickler and just look at your own hand in a similar position as the gesture you're trying to draw.

Yes, I tried that multiple times, unfortunately I sort of leave the hands to last and by the time I get to them I'm fed up with my drawings and don't even bother to try XD
