I am not friggin' Japanese, im B-L-A-C-K LOL ( i know that has nothing to do with it) so i am not going to draw Anime because I ain't neva been to no Japan.

believe me if you can try anime, you can try another style. just absorb yourself in all kinds of art genres. It took me several years and (still) for my style to develop this far.

Im not going to lie, i started out on anime like most young artists because you know it's typical to want to emulate something that we like.

but you get to a point where you are unsatisfied and try to develop a style that IS NOT like everyone else.

now my style so far can be simular to many other artists i appreciate, but hey it's still a diamond in the rough.

but the main goal about being a true artist, is to try not to be like "everyone else". u dig?

I'm trying to work towards a more disney style, but its hard since disney and anime like...evolved from eachother. X3
I want to work towards a more cartoony style though, for sure, and less of an anime one. I love your proportions and angles. Watching artists like you that DO break the mold is really inspiring.

aww bless ur heart lol. look all im saying is just keep doing your thang and you will get it. all of my art comes from the heart. I use my personal experiences and create something with it ( lol omg that sounded so cliche AHA).
although I'm not really pursuing art as a career since my primary focus is music...but i take everything that defines me as a person and project that into my artwork whenever i have to do it.

find something within yourself that really represents YOU yourself and project that onto paper or computer or whateva. lol ok?
