Out of the ones that weren't cut, I like 8 of them, so that isn't bad odds. Out of the ones that got cut, I only liked two of them, so that's also good.
I was a bit confused by the one that quit, and also, why the others that got eliminated weren't given a 'last chance' type of event like the first set of eliminations were, but that's fine.
I'm glad to see the two wolves who did not go with the 'pack mentality' are still atound for now.
Overall, it was a good follow-up to the first segment. Look forward to how the last part will play out and which of the ones left will make it to the finals.
I knew the two bickering canines would be safe. They have plot armor for the time being, even though I don't like either of them. I'm not doubting that either of them will make it to the finals. The furry drama is high with them around, so I'd be surprised if one of them were cut in the next portion.
I don't think the Doge dog will be cut either. Not with at least the main antagonistic wolf still about. But we'll see what happens on Friday.

Tensions arise, and sometimes people crash out. If the heat turns up, you gotta handle it.
It's an interesting mix of who got in and out, and dynamics would be bound to change once pieces start dropping.
And technically, the Doge dog is a Shiba Inu from Japan, Ewan's a Jindo from Korea :P

They look very similiar but thank you for the correction.
What would have happened had the one anthro that 'quit' the game decided to stay in defiance to find out what the threat was when he was told that he would "regret staying" if he didn't leave on his own, which is quitting by duress, not by voluntary choice. I would have liked to see him play all his cards to see how it played out instead all the way through.

That's a very interesting point! You have to believe that Eric D.'s outburst was the culmination of a lot of complaints he threw behind the scenes, at which point the producers were probably about ready to get rid of him since he openly questioned the fairness of the challenges and the show itself, and Ludwig gladly took the chance to step in and take him on when the opportunity came.
It was recorded as "quitting" in that Eric D. essentially pulled himself out of the game when he questioned its fairness. He was past the point that a public apology to Ludwig or the producers would suffice.

What are the chances or odds of him coming back? I know sometimes in reality shows, if say, one competitor gets injured, they might bring back a previously eliminated individual just to shake things up.
I’m not entirely on the quitting anthro’s side, but he did make some valid points.
I could see Ludwig letting him back in if he could pass the ‘combat challenge’ for example that he was so eager to want to compete in…. And Ludwig is the swole challenger that must be defeated. He did promise to have him regret speaking up after all. That is one way to do it to cause sizable drama.

No, Eric D. is not coming back. He's basically persona non grata at this point. American Alpha rules also state that if a competitor were to be injured and quit at any point in the competition, the producers reserve their right to decide whether to go on with the challenges as established (like it happened in AMA when Crispin passed out underwater and production didn't know for a while if he'd be declared fit to keep on competing) or bringing back the last eliminated contestant.

Man, Clark and Tory have to be the two most unlikeable golden retrievers ever. I'm honestly feeling secondhand embarrassment for any goldie watching this. Unfortunately, they're also killing it in the challenges, so they're obviously not going anywhere just yet. I'm hoping that there's a combat challenge at some point this season, if only so they might fight and one of them knocks the other out.
