The night on Baker Street was always dark and rainy, it was London after all. One could always count on some kind of water falling from the sky at some point in the week. However the glow in a tiny corner on the sidewalk was a light in the dark so to speak, and if anything the rain seemed to clear up as the little flash of swirling light cleared away. Anna Johnson had arrived, and not a moment too soon in her mind. She looked down at herself to brush off her trousers when she blinked. She had not been wearing blue, nor gloves. She looked around for a piece of glass or something to see her reflection when the second problem became apparent, all the mice around her were at least half her size, and looking up at her with a mixture of shock and awe. With a frown and a lift of her hand she looked at the watch, the obvious culprit. “Seriously? It’s one thing for Ratigan to turn everyone into mice and rats, but this is a bit much.”
The rain had fully stopped now, good thing too because the outfit she wore would not have protected against it much, in fact the cold still reached her fur, thankfully she had that now. She knew Baker street was not far. She still needed to meet up with Basil. Despite her size, Ratigan was still up to no good and they needed to work out what to do. Though perhaps they should work out whether she should try and fix this first problem they were having, she was already swaying a little from the unfamiliar shift in her weight. She managed to reach the door of Basil’s home when she nearly slammed her snout into the wall. She groaned in exasperation, this was proving to be quite annoying, especially as she knocked on the door.
She didn’t know who she was expecting to answer the door but it certainly wasn’t Basil himself. She found her ears turning ever so slightly red at the sight of the detective’s wide eyes. However he took one look outside at the clouds and stepped aside. “I am guessing you’d like to step inside.” His expression was simultaneously serious and curious, though it softened the moment Anna bent through the doorway and stepped inside. Once the door was closed he came forward and allowed his curiosity to slip through even more so. Anna cut him off as she crossed her arms and looked to the side. “I think the watch has a glitch.” Basil blinked in unfamiliarity at the term. “Glitch? I am not sure what you mean, are you speaking Yiddish my dear, a glitsh may yet describe this situation if the watch is malfunctioning.” Anna smirked and nodded, “Yes that would be a better way of putting it. I was wondering if I should go back and see if a second try would fix it.”
Basil put a finger to his chin, “Possibly, though with the nature of the supernatural as we understand it, maybe a watchmaker would be better. In case it is the watch itself, Another go at it may bring you as tall as Big Ben for all we know.”
As usual, Basil of Baker Street’s intuition couldn’t be overlooked. “Heh, maybe I could give Ratigan a real run for his money now.” It was basil’s turn to smirk, “Considering the circumstances that’s not a bad idea.”
“You’re not serious.”
“Of course I am, after all it’s elementary my dear. Your current size gives you an advantage not many others would have over Ratigan. Why if we caught him in the act now it would take half as many men needed to bring him in with your help, though I would prefer you not being the primary instigator of said confrontation.”
Anna smiled, he really did care. “Well when you put it like that, I suppose staying like this a bit longer won’t hurt, though I would prefer some different clothing, this dress is a little damp and I don’t think I’ll be catching anyone in these shoes.” Basil had to stifle a small laugh, “Ahah yes, yes indeed, come come, I’m sure Dawson and Mrs. Judson will be pleased to see you.”
The residents of Holmestead were a bit confused as to why Mrs. Judson gave out a fainting screech so late in the evening, then again, with all of the things that The Great Mouse detective got up to, it really wasn’t that hard to imagine the innumerable possibilities.

If you have not read Silver and Gold, or checked out https://www.deviantart.com/lilgrimmapple, you are missing out immensely. She is supremely talented and deserves every ounce of support she gets.
I only hope I wrote out the characters well enough to do her and Disney justice.
I have a question for the comments, what would you all prefer? Releasing captions and patreon works as soon as they are done, or doing a weekly release on Wednesdays. I am doing my best to write captions on the daily since I am home so much, so I would like to know which you prefer.
Work is still nonexistent for me, so if you’d like to see more captions or commissions, head on over to Patreon to give me some support. patreon.com/sanzokudebien
Thank you so much for sticking with me, Blessings of the Father upon you.
