The amulet which Whiskers has acquired there is very magical, containing near unfathomable magical energy to whoever wears it.
Whiskers is hoping it will give him great magical strength and power, making him the most powerful magic user on the planet...however, once Whiskers puts it on, that means all that energy now flows through him.
The logic I have for it is; Fat is unburned Calories. A Calorie is the Energy content you get from food, so with a Ton of Energy flowing through him, it means a Ton of Calories, so he also now has a Ton (or more) of Fat, and still expanding!
So, while Whiskers technically has immense magical power now...it comes with the condition of being obese, too.
He is both annoyed…yet, also thinking if he can make it work.
