no disrespect meant to the channel just because he literally had no idea this was fake and wasn't trying to deceive anyone, this was portrayed as an actual lost media search for people to sink their time into and it sucks that someone betrayed that trust just for an out-of-season april fools joke
i dont actively follow along with most lost media hunts but i always love hearing when cool obscure media gets found, and even the hoaxes from years ago managed to feel way more satisfying to pick at like A Day With SpongeBob, i have a feeling they just made the thread and forgot to mark it as a joke and then it got way too much attention way too quickly, but at the same time you're making it harder for people who actually have something they need to find and can't properly remember, i dunno where im going with this vent but Uurgh™

that and im not against people having oc stuff where the lore is "this is a lost piece of media by a defunct company", but the difference there is that it's all in-universe and you're not actively trying to rope people into believing that that's actually the case in real life, it's just a fun setting and im not against it even if i kinda lean on it too much as a lazy way out of writing a description
