This is the sketch where I was testing everything out, such as seeing if a mane would be superior to a feather crest, working out the placement and design of markings, etc. Given I do not clean my pieces up terribly well, everything I tried can be loosely seen in the erased portions, such as facial scales, horns, the aforementioned feather crest, an alternate scale pattern, different tattoos, and something I cannot recall the intention behind on the chest. My best guess is a continuation of the throat scales so they would effect the underbelly as well.
If anyone has a clue as to an animal or fictional being with a similar facial form that you can point me toward, I would be immensely appreciative.
