Miime was a character in the TV series Space Pirate Captain Harlock and the Harlock Saga, She was voiced by the late Noriko Ohara, who famously voiced all the lead Female villains of the Time Bokan series, Conan in Future Boy Conan, Peter in Heidi Girl from the Alps, and was the voice for Penelope Pitstop in the Japanese dub of Hanna Barbera's The Wacky Races.

In the original anime, Miime was the last survivor of an alien race wiped out by the antagonists world conquering race, the Mazons. She was save by the main protagonist, the Space Pirate Harlock and became a member of his crew in the Arcadia, devoting her body and soul to him in gratitude. She is of pale skin, yellow almond eyes and long body blue hair and wear a lavender dress; Like many of her race, she posses no mouth, yet is capable of speech and consume foods, in her case, been alcohol, but drinking large amounts of it can cause intoxication.

An alien of great empathic nature, she possess both Psychic and Psionic Powers, Miime's role in the crew, thought not official, is that of Musician, using the Harp (in the anime), as well the close confidant of Harlock and Assistance to the Arcadia's medic, Dr. Zero, using her Psionic Powers to relieve the crew of pain and injury. She provides support and comfort to Harlock and the Crew in moments of great duress by playing her harp to help them to calm down. In the Harlock saga, she is made more human looking and back story is change to be associated with the Nibelung clan, with the extra change she plays the flute and is capable to control time. However for the Endless Odyssey OVA, her original look and backstory return.

Miine's race is not name in the actual anime, but in the Harlock Saga is refer to Nibelungen, with the former show giving the name of her homeworld as Jura, while in the Harlock Saga is named Valhalla. In the expanded ovas it is reveal she had two siblings, La Mime (a younger sister who appeared in the film Arcadia of My Youth) and Alberich (her older brother who appears in the Harlock Saga OVA)
