Went for a drive and hike up in the Bradshaw Mountains today. Saw this nice Mule Deer just standing still by the forest road.

I see a surprising number of them further into the Sacramento urban sprawl than I'd expect. Lots of large green areas here though. Large enough for them to travel through it seems.

Oh I see them in my neighborhood. Golf course community that backs into ranches and then National Forest. So many critters running around the place that so many of the residents never notice.

She and her kids used to keep the poison ivy under control. Now it's everywhere. I think the neighborhood Goblins on their minibikes, trikes and quads scared them away.
