[ Nakyra Lunastrider / Character Ref / Armor ]

I remember the promise I made to my son upon being treated, upon settling within our tent:
"I will protect you with my life, nurture you, watch you grow... and even when you're an adult and haven't a need for me, I will still be here for you until the day I die."
The tears that streamed down my face as the weight of Etaiyo's abandonment and the joy that I was holding my child hitting me in such ways...
I remember the day he was let out of the pod and I could finally hold my dear son without the barrier of technology, oh how I cradled him to my chest and wept.
He was alive, he survived his time within the K.E.C.P., something not many have the luck of doing.
Surely if there is a god out there, they willed my son's survival and to them I am thankful.
I remember him bringing home his first friend, a young lad named Io.
How they played and laughed and had fun, how the two became inseparable.
Watching them grow side by side until Io left for the ADF, leaving a hole within Enarzo's heart.
I remember the day Io came back from his service and saw Enarzo again, the look in my son's eyes spoke of more than friendship, the affection he held for this man.
I knew then and there that my son loved Io, and he loved Enarzo right back.
I cried joy when they announced they were together at one of the tribe's feasts, how they'd be taking a ship to the stars.
I remember the day my son lost the love his life, how the joy that radiated from him had been stolen away.
Io was put to rest under the great and massive nakati colony that sat in the center of the settlement, the place he and Enarzo first met... where they had their first kiss.
I tried to comfort him, tried to be there, but he just grew distant from everyone... I hope he's safe, wherever he is in the cosmos.
