Spero is a name meaning “I hope”. In a swedish radioshow Spero is a little Springtail who is not allowed to jump. Her mother convinces her their family cannot do it but in the end it was a lie to protect them. Spero however learns to jump and saves the day. I think it suited the scene where Balto shows he is faster and more endurance than the others.
