flogandhark An older fella was out for a stroll on Venetian streets, a historical center really, he was away from the mainland and the residual Roman ruins that dotted Italy. What fascinated him was the thought of how the Venetians founded a city on a few swampy islands, not only that, but they became an economic rival throughout all of Europe... A City built on top of a forest, he mused He took a break, stopping to take in the scenery of the canal for a moment with the wind threatening to blow off his flatcap Maybe he was standing there for a little too long, he thought, although Venice is praised for the lack any cars or traffic, only allowing pedestrians to rely on walking or the occasional boat ferry throughout the city For centuries Venice only catered to foot traffic and whenever there's foot traffic.
There's always gonna be pickpockets out of he corner of his eye as he caught a suspitiouse young man younger and cleaner than most to be on the streets looking to nab a flask, wallet or weatver was valuable trinkets he thought old folks carried, whichever seems worse for him and bountiful for the thief Having a familiarity with this area, the old man Flark caught onto the inexperienced urchin as he stood there unfortunately for him The fellow cainied only wanted to walk and diden't have any valuables on him
He recognized that this one wasn't of the usual bunch but one that could be a part of a family of middle wadgers on the mainland
Don't you have enough?! Flark scolded, stamping his walking cane on the cobblestone street, making the pup scamper off...
Whether the pup did it for thrills or a genuine need for survival, Flark mused that Venice was not out of business after all these years. As the tourism of Venetian foot traffic was the fattest plump of them all for these cheeky, plucky thieves

To this day, Flark is still thinking about Rome... Oh, how they used to drink vinegar wine without care and march in such orderly formations... How a man could dream. Oh and the beauty of such places needs to be preserved, no doubt... Wait, I'm not that old, Zerkka... WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BOY!
Fr, I love and appreciate the piece and your continuation and expansion upon my story to make it pop alive in the setting.
Great work, ya'll viewing this should give him a watch or fav, Zerkka has made and will be making some good pieces, and he puts effort into them, like anyone with passion for their craft/work does.
Much respect, Zerkka. Keep it going.
