Carlow was just your average sailor in the mid 1800's. He lived for the sea and the ability to travel. He practically spent his entire life dealing with it. Unfortunately, one day, the ship he was on was boarded by pirates. Wounded, Carlow would fall overboard and didn't have the strength to save himself. In his final moments, he still wished to live.

Unbeknownst to Carlow, the 'lucky pendant' that he wore around his neck actually contained a dormant Toon Core that had formed long ago, but never activated. In Carlow's final moments, however, it reacted to his greatest desire and proceeded to activate right as a jellyfish passed by.

The next thing Carlow knew, he... she was alive and fine! She had become a jellyfish toon whose body was made out of bubbles. She could move through the sea without issue, and even withstand the pressures of the deep without issue.

She wasn't quite sure how she was still alive, even if it was in a vastly new form. Carlow wondered if maybe it was something like the sea's blessing itself. Whatever the case may be, she was grateful.
