New side character!
This is Iris Hammond, a mouse character that first appeared in this piece. That was just over 9 years ago in-universe, and a lot has changed now that they're 25 (as shown by the number on their shirt). Now, they're a punk mouse who enjoys grunge music, picking fights, and protesting (such as in yesterday's piece). They spend most of their free time playing guitar on street corners in San Francisco, and want to one day find their parents.
Though Iris does have one soft spot: their adoptive sister, Clementine (the other mouse in the original pic). Clementine used to be emo, but she's grown into a bubbly little mouse, and Iris would do anything for her. On weekends, they still play Minecraft together.
Fun fact: when picking the colors for Iris, I challenged myself to use the non-binary flag as a basis. I obviously tweaked the colors somewhat, but all four colors are there!
