Day 216 - May 8th, 2741

Only one more day until we reach the Nest. I've read those communication logs over and over since then. Probably almost a hundred times.

I don't know what to do. There is a possible way forward, that defector out in Paradise might be my only lead. But there is no clear way to access them. If even STEEL is having issues with knowledge of the place with a fully capable stealth-based wielder, what chance would I have all on my own?

Brick offered an idea. If I can't get to him on my own, then maybe I need to exploit STEEL's way. Which means taking 40's place long enough to get that info.

Don't like this, not one fucking bit. But once again, what other options do I have? Brick tells me Paradise is a place that is anything but, at least for the commoners. Those in authority live like royalty off the back of their starving & exploited population through the barrel of a gun. Lots of guns in fact. Their people are fundamentally slaves and can't leave. So as one would imagine, travel in and out is highly controlled.

I'm still very unsure of this, but 40's Link has been pinging today, looks like its Cpt. Hanes is trying to get a status report. Brick also told me he purposely kept the GPS tracker enabled to make it look like 40 was still alive, and keep the trail away from her body. No point in impersonating her if they find her. Fair point there Brick.

Well, maybe at the Nest I can make my choice, but I should at least keep Cpt. Hanes at bay in the meantime. Brick suggests being as truthful as possible to wade off suspicion, and follow her manerisms as best I can. Orderly and to the point. Alright, I think I can do this.
