”Phoenix. Phoenix, wake up!”
It was early, earlier than I’d usually wake up, but the sun was still up. Though Chronos doesn’t usually end up being my alarm clock. But something must have been up for him to rush to me this quickly. Groggy eyed, I yawned, and realized that I was completely buried under my covers. What was this all about?
“I’m glad you’re still here, but I didn’t think you’d be small too…”
“H-huh? What’s going on, Chronos?”
I rubbed my eyes, slowly getting up and making my way towards the light. But I spotted something odd again. My own Mizutsune plush, its tail was enormous!
“I think…” Chronos followed as I pushed the plush aside. “We’ve shrunk.”
“But, what even caused this?” I climbed on top of my now gargantuan pillow, scaled the headboard and stood on top of the bed. Everything in my room had become massive in the middle of the night, but nothing looked like it was tampered with at all. The room wasn’t a mess, and the door wasn’t even open.
“Whatever caused it certainly didn’t stick around, so I don’t have a clue how we shrank, or how long it will last. Last time this happened was clear. Birch had broke a bottle of shrinking potion, and it splashed all over you. But now, it’s both of us, without any idea what happened.”
“This certainly complicates things a bit, what do we even do at this size?”
“I’m not sure. But I think we should stay together until we find a solution to this.”
I carefully climbed back down to the floor, and Chronos jumped down to follow. We both took a look around our now giant surroundings, both a little nervous as to what would happen next.
“Do we even know who best to talk to? Of course Crystal, but would she even see us?”
“I’m not sure, Phoenix. But what I am sure of is that this time that we’re shrunk shouldn’t be too worrisome, as long as you and me are together.”
So, we’ve shrunk. How? No clue. I suppose I’ll leave that up to the viewer. How do you guys think we shrank? I’m interested in seeing your theories in the comments!
