Sylene - the last light (Adoptable Draft)
I’ve been going through a lot of crap in my life, and as always when that happens, I tend to draw things related to what I’m experiencing (just like many others do—I’m not special). It helps me to let out everything I’m feeling.
One day, I woke up in my room and saw a large black moth. I had no idea how it got in—my door and windows were closed. It sat there, still and unshaken, and since I had just woken up, I was honestly startled for a moment.
I carefully relocated it outside without harming it. Where I live, there’s a strong belief that moths are harbingers of bad omens. I prefer to push those ideas out of my head since I live with my partner, who is pregnant. I don’t want to feed my subconscious with absurd thoughts.
All of this led me to create this design—whether to shake off the bad omen or simply to let my mind rest from the catastrophic thoughts that haunt it daily.
