My Colossal Pony: Luna on Earth (Night version)
It was still a strange thing to the lunar princess. When she returned from the moon after her banishment over 1000 years ago and cleased of her evil, she had expected to simply go back to her normal duties as Princess and leading the populace, and perform her duties as princess of the night. Never did she once expect to come back and later have to make contact with an entire alien species.
And what a shock it was to not only her, but to her sister Celestia as well. Humans they were called. A curious species that they had managed to contact by way of a magic mirror, all but confirming to both parties that they were not alone in the universe. They had been speaking to each other on the regular, both sides getting to know each other. They were fascinated to learn that Humans were descended from primates, while the humans subsequently were fascinated to learn of their equine nature as well. On the day of first contact, which had been decided on by both parties, Celestia and Luna both boldly stepped forward, ready to take the first step in offering their hooves in friendship to an entirely new species never before seen before by any creature in the world.
Only to be met with a shocking surprise. A surprise to everyone on both sides.
Nobody could account for the fact that the world was on two completely different scales. There was such a massive difference in scale between the two that when Celestia and Luna stepped through the portal onto the other side, they were already looming over the clouds. Humanity was smaller than fleas to all of Ponykind. So tiny they were that Celestia, out of sheer curiosity, simply reached down and picked up an entire metropolis in her hoof and held it up to her face to inspect it. A city that was several times bigger than Manehatten, and it was able to fit in her big sister’s hoof like a little toy.
After the initial shock had passed, and the poor humans were convinced by the two of them that the world was not going to end and that she and Celestia were not some harbingers of doom come to end the world (“Poor things, they must have been so frightened,” Luna thought to herself as she walked through the halls of the castle towards the portal room. Going through to the other side was starting to become a regular occurrence for them. Although it wasn’t open to the public (and to be honest Luna wasn’t sure of that was the best idea, for the sake of the human’s safety) She, her sister, Cadence, and Shining Armor all got to enjoy spending time with their dear little friends and get them used to their presence. Today it looked like Luna would be going over alone, and she was excited for it! Although she would never admit it outloud, lest her sister endlessly tease her about it, the humans were so small and cute! The lunar princess would love nothing more than to scoop them all up in her arms and give them all a big hug.
Opening the door to the portal room, Luna took a breath and prepared to step through. Though she remembered to take off her heavy hoof shoes before doing so. Readying herself, the dark princess stepped through, Luna’s hoof crashing down on the other side with tremendous force as she stepped foot onto the tiny little world. It took all of her might to try and conceal the blush on her face as she looked down at the little planet by her hooves. Just another firm reminder of just how large they all were compared to them. Canterlot mountain was the seat of power within Equestria, and here? The mountains were no bigger than crumbs to her. Teeny little structures that bounced and trembled with each step she took. Same could be said for the cities and towns that littered the ground too.
And it was all so cute and precious to Luna.
Smiling warmly down at the tiny populace below her, Luna spread her wings and announced her presence “The moon has risen my very little humans!” she boomed, her titanic form towering high above the night sky “My adoration for you has more than doubled!”
She giggled as she watched a speck sized plane fly between her outstretched feathers on her wings. Winking at the little passengers that were undoubtedly looking out at her, Luna lowered her wings back at her side and began to walk across the continent.
BOOOOM! BOOOOM! BOOOOM! BOOOOM!
It was a guilty pleasure of hers, and one that Celestia tried (and failed) to hide as well. Being a sheer commanding presence on this world by her vast and powerful size was enough to make her feel all tingly inside. Luna did enjoy it, and she knew Celestia did as well. Halting her walk, she casted a teasing grin down at the ground, specifically down between her hooves. There, lying below was a city. A tiny little city filled with even tinier people all gazing up at the gargantuan princess of the night. Luna smirked and tapped her hoof on the ground, listening to the audible boom and watching the city bounce up from the ground and back down.
“Enjoying the view down there little ones?” Luna teased gently as she leaned down, turning her head to the side so her eye could peer down at the puny buildings below. Her giggles shook the ground as she could only imagine the sight down below. The magnitude of her lowering herself down shaking the ground and her eye filling the sky as she gazed down at the little humans.
“Perhaps we should spend some more time together, what do you say little ones?” Luna asked, raising back up and igniting her horn. The ground rumbled as the entire city was lifted out of the ground with the aid of her magic, rising up towards her face. Luna smiled and gave the adorable little city a small kiss, gently smothering the little ones with her lips.
“Now, I believe on this world you have something called ‘horseback riding’ . Am I correct?” Luna asked. Several adorable squeaks from the humans confirmed her answer. Smiling, Luna floated the city over to her back and gently dropped it down into her soft blue fur.
“Well then, all aboard Princess Luna! The grand tour awaits my little humans! One night only!” Luna laughed as she started her walk again, shaking the entire planet as she took her little passengers on a tour of their world from her perspective.
