While mechs are not new to me by now, the Grammatophyllum represents a first for me: the first time I drew an illustration of a frame that wasn't meant to be a generic NPC or a player mech I'd based on existing frames, but instead art I'd specifically created for my first attempt at homebrew third party content(which is the reason fr the Powere By Lancer logo).

As it stands, the Royal Karrakin Foundries Grammatophyllum is mechanically a Size 3 variant frame of the IPSN Tortuga. Beyond being larger, it trades the Tortuga's general multirole sentinel focus for a role more oriented toward specializing on being a defender, using advanced systems to force enemy chassis to focus their attention on it; meanwhile it also use its bulks to be something akin to a walking battering ram, using the tortuga license's breacher suite to great effect as it bowls over smaller chassis.

Naming wise, all official RKF mechs have been thus far named after flowers(Orchis, Calendula, Taraxacum) and thus I wanted to continue with that tradition by naming my frame after the Grammatophyllum Speciosum, the largest breed of orchid to represent the massive size of the frame.
