Sharing some photos from my storm chasing trip!
This was the most powerful storm of the trip, and the most powerful storm I have ever seen. The sky was saturated with a brilliant and vibrant teal-green mixed with the blackest clouds I've ever seen. The storm was packing wind gusts over 100mph, baseball sized hail, and multiple large tornadoes, one of which was rated nearly EF3. It blasted the towns of Benjamin, Seymour, and Wichita Falls TX.
This is a view of the shelf cloud and hail core as it raced overhead at incredible speed. The whole sky was boiling and churning with motion and chaos. we had to constantly leapfrog ahead of it to stay away from the core, where the 100mph winds/hail/tornadoes were hiding within. More pics to come from this storm!
