sharing some photos from my storm chasing trip!
This was the first big storm we saw, it dropped softball sized hail all around us as we tried to "punch the core" to get out of it. Amazingly, we got through with hardly a dent or scratch!
After that ordeal, we watched in awe at sunset, when the massive updraft of the storm billowing 50,000 feet high was lit up in spectacular colors. As the light faded, the upper edge of the storm glowed a beautiful fiery red-orange.
