In the world of Avalice, Metallic Dragons are viewed in high regards to other dragon races as they are known to be the most peaceful of the dragon races, as Neera was sent to go find someone to help against the conflict against Brevon, she would be faced with both a relieving and surprising sight, a Gold Dragon.

Everyone on Avalice were more than familiar with the reputation of the Gold Dragons, mainly how they not only hold the mantle of responsibility among all the dragon races, but how they serve as the metaphorical and literal gold standard that all dragons should aspire to be, paragons of absolute purity, good will, and selflessness.

Neera had heard stories about the Gold Dragons as a child, but had never once seen one in the flesh, watching her walking with a small basset girl and holding her hand, Neera would see first hand how Lilac walked with such grace and elegance as well as radiating an aura of calmness that could only be expected from a Gold Dragon, to Neera, Lilac was everything she had expected and more.
