Its Gumbopaw! :D
In the initial planning phases of this arc it was going to be a wulf we'd never seen before, delivering ink for Carvingclaw to draw her plans with. He was gonna be a great big dork with ink stains in his fur and scrolls sticking out of his back, but... it just didn't feel right. We the readers would not have any emotional investment in the stranger that would appear in just one page, so I had to pick someone we'd seen before. Gumbopaw was the only active speaker in the comic other than Spearstriker and the Alpha Primes. Spearstriker is busy hunting Shadowpaw, and the Alpha Primes are tending to the Alpha Female. So, that left Gumbopaw, and what a nice guy he is!
Also, the fact that he didn't actually SOLVE the door was kind of a last minute thing. He just looked to see where the most-used portion of the door was after a week or so of use. The oils on your fingers might leave similiar clues if the door was real. Kind of clever, if I do say so myself!

Thank you to
PhantomAngel4 for designing Carvingclaw and her little details as a character. It made for an excellent story and I'm very happy with the result!

oh i know she won't care and is happy to find a 'smart' mate. though knowing how internal hormones work and knowing the testosterone not only helps male sex drive but has a dramatic effect on male waist line, the less in your system the more fat tends to stay in your belly means bigger belly men 'might' baring any other medical condition causing it, have less testosterone. I can't help but think that while he may be smart enough for her, he might not be able to perform enough for her :P
then again that's all out the window because i am sure their physiology is /nothing/ like humans.

AHHHHHHHH HA!!!!!! So it was gumbopaw!!! Smart fellah isn't he? Not to mention that he also treats her as an equal and doesn't go trying to woo her. Then again, maybe he doesn't love her and isn't aware of the fact that she's falling in love with him. I suppose only time will tell.
