haha. the game is actually really fun. The original trailers did it no favors honestly. Things arent as crazy as the trailers make it out to be. It is actually pretty chill. mostly. it has it moments(thinking of kamikaze pals...). But if you do enjoy catching and battling together with monsters, building bases, freely explore a rather nice world and a little bit of dungeon diving then i highly recommend to give it a try.

the trailer does look bad I gotta say xD I love all of this stuff I mind give it a try than (thought some monsters just looked bad designed....not that current pkm arent bad designed either but you know...)

There will always be hits and misses with anything just like you mentioned with pokemon. They have their good ones among the bad or just plain dull ones. Same with palworld. There are a few pals i dont care much for. Even this one looks a bit off with how it walks, but ive grown to like it. Its like a giant weasle tiger with lots of spikes and that is kinda cool imo X,D but yes. the game is fun and the world looks pretty good. much better than the last pokemon game by miles. While i did fine enjoyment in scarlet/violet the world is just....boring and colorless. another thing that can be a little bit of fun is that while some pals might be fire type, your not restricted to only teaching it fire moves. ;) And you teach them moves by feeding them "skill fruits". they look like Devil fruits from One piece! haha. So if you want to teach your legendary dragon how to just...explode!...you totally can! :D (not recomended though!) Also you can always go into the settings for your world and change things up if you want it easier or harder on yourself. Your game is a server basically, and you chose if only you are to play on it or if other people can join you. so even more options for you :) also they added randomized mode a little while back for extra spice. as well as perma death option. if youd like a challenge later on.
