This morning I made a couple of K-O the Kangaroo appearances for Little League opening parades and events. One of them was right outside one of my old elementary schools, so we just had to get this shot!

Yep, the school was built in 1971. Very familiar architectural style there, as another one of my elementary schools was built in 1974, my high school was built in 1969, and my college campus was built throughout the 1970s.
This was actually an "open concept" school; a real product of its time, where each grade has a huge open pod housing four classes at once, and the noise levels could be really distracting! They've since walled in most of the pods so they now have traditional individual classrooms.
